In this role you will:

  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Single point of contact of the customer for PII
  • Leading business meetings & product demonstration
  • Business lead closure & documentation for the same
  • Planning & strategizing smooth client follow-ups
  • Communicating Pii other business offerings & product values to the client
  • Ensuring business query consistency from existing accounts/clients
  • Identification of other relevant business needs in existing accounts
  • Creation of new business opportunities in the existing client portfolio
  • Client Engagement & Retention
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that individual research studies are aligned with larger client strategies and priorities
  • Drive business development efforts in assigned accounts, coordinating closely with other PII Consulting BUs.
  • Provide value to clients beyond the conduct of research projects and programs (e.g. consulting, training)
  • Review analyses, presentations, and reports, making sure that they deliver commercially valuable insights and recommendations and tell the story in a compelling manner
  • Present research findings to clients as appropriate
  • Maintain appropriate records of client transaction
  • Manage PII's customer P&L and revenue growth
  • Resource Management
  • Partner with internal recruiters and business unit leaders to identify resources for client opportunities
  • Partner with client managers on performance management and ongoing relationship management and project tracking of the employee/client resource
  • Guide employees on career path progression and development
  • Partner with HR on employee relations
  • Process Development & improvement
  • Addressing client issues & complaints with a focus on improvising buyer experience
  • Conducting relevant market comparative/gap analysis & drafting suggestions
  • Sharing relevant client inputs with the research team
  • Develop and train assigned staff through a combination of on-the-job training and coaching
  • Direct the creation of formal training materials and programs and facilitate training sessions as appropriate
  • Conducting training for business acquisition and client retention for the internal team
  • Forecast upcoming business & build planned execution strategy

To be successful in this role, your background and experience should include:

  • Must be familiar with the capabilities of all Pharmaceutics International, Inc. (Pii) business units (marketing sciences, RWE, SFE, and data services
  • A clear understanding of account management
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills and initiative
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision and limited direction.
  • A successful track record in account management and delivery against sales targets is highly desirable.
  • Required 10+ years of relevant work experience.


Bachelor's/Master's degree required. An advanced degree in a relevant area is desirable but not required.
